A/Prof Glyn Teale

Glyn Teale is the Clinical Services Director of Women’s and Children’s Services at Western Health, Sunshine Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor, University of Melbourne. He is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with research interests in reducing stillbirths and the management of obesity in pregnancy. He established a dedicated clinical for women with Class III obesity (The DIAMOND Clinic – Diabetes, Maternal Obesity, Nutrition and Diet) to support the 7% of women with a BMI over 40 at Western Health. He is a councilor on The Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity (CCOPPM) and a member of the Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Subcommittee and the Neonatal Death Sub-committee of CCOPPM. He was formally the Chair of the Maternity and Newborn Program Safety and Quality Committee, Department of Health and The Clinical Lead for the Maternity and Newborn Clinical Network in Victoria.
